Age: 36.

Olympic appearances: 3 (Turin, Salt Lake City, Lillehammer - injured in Nagano and did not compete).

Career highlights:

  • Gold medallist in the 2001 World Sprint Championships; bronze medallist in 2002 and 2004.
  • Finished seventh in the 500m in Turin and Salt Lake.

Other:

  • Started speed skating at age of 5.
  • Brother Sean is the High Performance Program Director at the Olympic Oval in Calgary.
