"Joe is an impeccable leader, a very smart football man and is driven by success. He has done great things with our roster and our football operations in his first two seasons with us," president and CEO Garth Buchko said in a statement.
After a 4-14 record in 2010, Mack helped lead the Bombers to a 10-8 record and a Grey Cup appearance last season. Overall, Mack is 14-22 in his first two years as the Bombers GM, but the club has solidified its roster with young talent in his tenure, committing to developing a young quarterback and upgrading the Canadian base.
"I am very grateful for the amount of support I have received from the board as well as from the entire organization through my two years in this position," Mack said in a release. "I really believe in everything we are doing in Winnipeg and look forward to what the future holds for the Blue Bombers."
