Mexican growers offer 15 pct in Baja farm strike

FILE - In this Sept. 25, 2014 file photo, day laborers work in a strawberry field as they prepare the field for planting in the Valle de San Quintin in the municipality of Ensenada, south of Tijuana in Baja California, Mexico. In mid-March 2015, farm workers in this area walked off their jobs to demand better pay and labor conditions. Strike activist Fermin Salazar said Monday, March 30, 2015 that the work stoppage continues after they turned down a 15-percent wage increase offer. Workers had been demanding a 300-peso-per-day ($19.70) minimum wage, but have reportedly reduced that demand to 200 pesos ($13.10). (AP Photo/Omar Millan, File)
