Tactical squad storms St. Vital house

Tactical officers stormed a St. Vital house this morning to execute a search warrant, neighbours said.

One neighbour in the 100 block of Vadeboncoeur Drive said police entered the suspect house at about 9 a.m.

The neighbour did not want his named used, but he said the officers were wearing helmets and were carrying guns.

A woman who exited the suspect house early this afternoon said she'd been inside when police came to search the property for drugs. The man they were looking for wasn't there at the time, she said.

A woman who answered the door of the home this afternoon told a Free Press reporter to call the RCMP for information.

We will have more on this story as details are confirmed.
